The Senior SQL Developer will support Applications developed for the company and will utilize a solid understanding of Business Systems Development using SQL Server (2008, 2012) Reporting Services, Integration Services, and database design; will demonstrate teamwork, initiative, and support skills to assist business end-users with custom applications; will play a key role in the development of a new Financial Data Repository and related Management Reporting and Planning Platform tools including Data Relationship Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities: (including the following, other duties may be assigned)
Maintain and provide production support for existing financial SQL databases including the Financial Data Repository & Assets under Management system
Design and develop new systems for Finance & Accounting, Legal & Compliance, HR and other teams supported by Corporate Business Systems
Design and implementation of automated validations from various source systems based on record counts and sum totals
Maintenance and building of new interfaces to/from SQL databases, including those sources from Hyperion ASO/BSO Cubes, Data Relationship Manager (DRM), SAP and PeopleSoft
Requirements gathering for database modifications from end-users; design, test and implementation of those modifications to the agreed upon specifications
Minimum 3 – 5 years of SQL database development experience, SQL 2008/2012.
Minimum 3 – 5 years of Business Systems Development or Financial Systems Administration.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the Financial Service Industry required.
Experience developing and supporting Finance and Compliance SQL databases and non-technical end-users.
Experience using SSIS – importing text files and XML files. Using Loop containers and package configurations.
Working knowledge of the following functions essential functions using SQL 2005/2008:
Knowledge of T-SQL, including transactions, begin..try…, merge, common table expressions, ROW_NUMBER/OVER, bulk insert, FT searching
